Amaruq (Crew 18) Sol 7 Report 30-7-2025
With power stabilized and fuel consumption down to 1.5 liters, the crew leaned into their scientific objectives. Plant preservation protocols were executed across multiple sites, and the Science Officer began mapping species distribution. The XO developed a return-to-site plan for Oasis, recognizing its unique ecological value. The Medical Officer noted improved sleep and reduced strain. “This is the rhythm we needed,” said the XO. “Now we can think beyond the mission.”
During fieldwork, the crew identified a site with unusual rock formations, plant growth, and water presence—dubbed “Oasis.” I began drafting a return-to-site plan for extended scientific examination, including sampling priorities and environmental monitoring protocols. The site holds promise for comparative analysis with other Devon Island features.
